Responsibilities

Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger, and general ledger
Bring the books to the trial balance stage
Complete tax forms
Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements
Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner

qualifications

Proven bookkeeping experience
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

The bookkeeper will be responsible for managing financial records, performing reconciliations, and supporting accountants in preparing financial reports for clients
Must have at least 3 years of experience as a bookkeeper, staff accountant, or similar role
Must be proficient in Quickbooks; Quickbooks Online is a bonus
Prefer experience in an accounting firm or professional services environment, supporting multiple companies simultaneously
Must have solid understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP)
Comfortable being front-facing with clients
