Responsibilities

Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
Support month-end and year-end close process
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
Liaise with our Financial manager and Accounting manager to improve financial procedures

qualifications

In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Familiarity with financial accounting statements
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
Accuracy and attention to detail
BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
Relevant certification (e.g. CMA or CPA) will be preferred

Hybrid Schedule: 3 days/week in office (Oakland, CA) and 2 days/week work remote
Temp to perm: 2+ months temp, with the potential to convert into a permanent Senior role if a strong fit
4-5+ years of full cycle Accounting experience, including GL, closing books, and AP experience
Proficient using ERP systems such as Odoo or NetSuite
Comfortable initially handling AP tasks, then gradually add more robust accounting tasks.
Bachelor's Degree required, Accounting degree preferred
Experience working in HiTech, Fintech, or Inventory industries preferred
Multinational accounting experience is preferred
